Engineer Electrical Senior

Job Description

Hardware engineer with analog and digital design experience.  Understand hardware/software interactions and collaborate/support development activities as assigned.  Properly document electrical designs along with test methods.  Conduct and participate in design specification reviews and code reviews.  Establish and maintain thorough and accurate engineering logbooks, data sets, test procedures.  Generally adhere to formal documentation practices required for our product.  Identify quality problems and engage in root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Basic Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.  Master's Degree preferred. 

Experience:  8+ years of experience in Hardware design.  Military/Aerospace/Space system design experience a plus.  Experience with OrCAD, MultiSim, PSpice and other simulation tools.

Digital design skills:  Design and simulation of digital logic systems. Experience in debug and analysis of complex logic. Embedded processor/FPGA experience a plus.  DSP experience a plus.

Analog design skills:  Experience with low-noise front-end conversion to digital a plus.  Skill with PWB layout, packaging, etc. a plus.  Experience with conversion from optical to analog or digital a plus.

Motion Control:  Experience with design of controllers or servo systems are a plus.

Computer:  Microsoft Office Suite, OrCAD, MatLab, PSpice & design tools for simulation of analog/digital circuits.

Good organizational and presentation skills.
