Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

This department is involved in the design and development of high-precision sensors and subsystems for spacecraft, military craft, astronomical observatories, and scientific laboratories. The successful candidate will work in a cross-disciplinary team to support the Aerospace / Military Industry. The successful candidate will draw upon their knowledge in mechanical engineering to solve problems in this high-tech business environment. This Mechanical Engineering position supports the design and analysis of parts/assemblies for space, military and commercial products, associated fixtures/support equipment, and other tasks as needed. This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected. Basic Qualifications

1) Must be a US citizen with the completion of a 4-year collegiate program in Mechanical Engineering.
2) Applicable experience a plus. 
3) Preference for candidates with internship experience.
4) High preference for candidates having experience with optical encoders or aerospace programs.
